Rabe Pandion T 600: New compact disc harrow less
Train more bite
With the Pandion T 600, Rabe is launching a new compact disc harrow in the 6-meter class. The machine was presented for the first time at Agritechnika 2025 and is aimed at powerful arable farms and contractors who want to combine high acreage output with intensive and uniform soil cultivation. The launch price from 39,000 euros net places the Pandion T 600 in the highly competitive trailed compact disc harrow segment. The key technical data clearly show the machine's direction. With a working width of 6 m and a power requirement from 150 hp, the Pandion T 600 is designed for larger tractor classes. Working depths of 3 to 15 cm cover both shallow stubble cultivation and more intensive mixing of crop residues. Working speeds of up to 20 km/h enable high daily outputs. The tare weight of around 5.4 to 6 t ensures sufficient ground pressure so that the discs penetrate the soil safely even in dry or firm soil conditions.
Oscillating frame for uniform working depth
In terms of design, Rabe relies on a pendulum-suspended side frame. This can move by around four degrees in both directions and thus adapts to uneven ground. Uniform ground tracking is particularly important for wide implements in order to achieve a constant working depth across the entire working width. In practice, the design should be particularly advantageous on hilly areas and in changing soil conditions.
48 discs for intensive tillage
A total of 48 discs are available for actual soil cultivation. Depending on the application, wavy or coarsely serrated discs with diameters of 510 or 560 mm can be selected. The comparatively aggressive cutting angle to the direction of travel and to the ground supports reliable penetration into the soil, even with a high straw cover or when incorporating large quantities of organic matter. A practical detail is the option of moving the front row of discs in relation to the rear row. This allows the wear on the discs to be evened out, which helps to achieve a uniform cultivation result over the duration of use. The discs are attached to the frame via spring elements. The resulting vibration effect is intended to reduce the tractive force required and at the same time improve the self-cleaning of the discs. This can be particularly advantageous in practice on damp or sticky floors. At the same time, the firm bolting of the spring elements prevents the disc elements from slipping sideways, which benefits the directional stability and uniformity of the working pattern.
Rabe relies on a modular roller concept for reconsolidation. The choice includes a heavy double U-ring roller with a diameter of 580 mm for high reconsolidation and good self-cleaning, a lighter tandem roller with a diameter of 440/350 mm for a stronger crumbling effect and a 600 mm roof ring roller as a compromise between dead weight and reconsolidation. The rollers can be mounted on either floating or fixed bearings. This allows you to choose between maximum ground pressure and better ground adaptation depending on the type of soil and application.
Flexible mounting options and low-maintenance design
The Pandion T 600 is also flexible when it comes to attachment. Lower link hitching in Cat. 3/4N, drawbar eyes with 40 or 50 mm diameter and the K80 ball are possible. Depending on the version, a hydraulic drawbar is required. With a transport width of less than 3 m, the machine remains roadworthy despite its large working width. In terms of maintenance, Rabe relies on low-maintenance bearing points with carbide bushes. The number of lubrication points is comparatively low at 22, which saves time in everyday operation and increases operational readiness.
Who is the Pandion T600 built for?
The Pandion T 600 is a machine for performance-oriented farms looking for a powerful compact disc harrow for stubble cultivation, incorporation of crop residues or shallow seedbed preparation. The combination of high tare weight, aggressive disc configuration and flexibly selectable roller concept opens up a wide range of applications. In conjunction with the introductory price from 39,000 euros net, the Pandion T 600 should be an economically interesting option for many farms in the 6-meter segment.
